Soap and water, every day, whether your countertops are quartz, granite, marble or soapstone. Skip lemon juice, window cleaner, bleach and anything acidic, which can ruin the polish.
John Bujak: Kleopatra, how do I clean this? Do I want to use lemon juice on it, or window cleaner? How do I clean my granite countertop?
Kleopatra: I would say don't use any of that. Soap and water for daily use, whether it's quartz, marble, granite or soapstone. Soap and water is going to be your go-to. You don't want to use anything with acidity, no bleach, nothing like that, because that will ruin the polish on the stone. Keep it true with your soap and water. Just like you wash your dishes, you wash your counters.

Wipe with warm water and a few drops of dish soap on a soft cloth, rinse with a damp cloth, then dry with a towel to prevent water spots. That is all most countertops ever need.
Lemon juice, vinegar, window cleaner, bleach and other acidic or harsh cleaners. Over time they dull the polish and can wear down the sealer on natural stone. Kleopatra also recommends skipping disinfecting wipes.
